As creepy and strange the name may sound, it tastes amazingly well too.

And for those who don’t don’t what’s a rib eye, it’s the beef steak from the rib section of the body with the rib bone attached. These usually include the longissimus muscle. It’s full of flavors and very tender since it comes from the lightly worked area of the rib part. And it surely has more moisture.

  • rib eye steak pieces (The thicker it is, the more friendly it is to cook at home)
  • rib eye rub, it’s a mix of all the spices that you will use to season your steak, can be according to your preferences

  •  Chilies or chili powder
  •  Peanut oil
  •  Thyme springs

So after you have all the ingredients at your side, begin with the process. Place all the rib eye steak pieces on a big plate and season it with the rub on both sides, thoroughly. If they are taken out from the refrigerator, allow them to rest for a while after coating a bit of oil on them and then seasonings. After seasoning them, transfer to the already pre-heated hot grill and let if cook for about four-seven minutes each side for medium rare, or if you prefer to use longer rare, you can use that too provided you don’t burn the steak and they are cooked to perfection. After grilling, remove the rib-eye steaks from the griller and let it rest for about five – ten minutes before serving.

After grilling them, you can toss them in butter over a pan for just about a minute to add more flavors and texture into it. Butter helps give your steak a more dark and crisp crust and much faster, though.

Interestingly , another way to season the steak can be that if you are willing to eat them immediately then season them well with salt and  pepper and slide them into a plastic bag and put it in water for a while and pat it dry before grilling it and if you want to freeze, then leave the salt and pepper , it can be done later.
