Smoked meat loaf on electric grill

Although slow yet one of the most amazing dishes to die for. Smoked meat is usually one of the best recipes to cook for they not only taste marvelous but are rich in proteins and other vitamins and minerals.

Collect all the ingredients you need and put on your chef’s hats and start working.

  • Tomato paste
  • Tomato ketchup
  • Chipotle powder
  • Apple cider vinegar
  • Eggs
  • Crushed garlic cloves
  • Onions
  • Beef
  • Pork
  • Turkey
  • (One pound each)
  • salt
  • Black pepper
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • Corn chips

 

Once you have all the ingredients around the table, you can start cooking.

  1. Prepare your electric griller according to your preference.
  2. You can soak the woods in water for a while and then let the water drain.
  3. Now add tomato paste, tomato ketchup, Worcestershire sauce and chipotle powder and vinegar in a big bowl.
  4. Take about one-third of the mixture and set aside.
  5. Add the corn chips in a food processor until ground finely and then transfer them to a bowl.
  6. Now add eggs to the mixture and also some ketchup.
  7. Stir it for a while till the corn chips become soft for about an 8-10 minutes.
  8. Add pork, beef, and turkey with garlic, salt, pepper, garlic, and onions.
  9. Mix it well, so the flavors get all into each part. You can even use your hands for that matter.
  10. Lay down a sheet of foil and shape the entire meat mixture in the form of a loaf with rough estimates of about 10-inches long and 2-3 inches thick.
  11. Cover it with another sheet of foil, enclose it from sides and also poke some small holes into the foil on both sides.
  12. Now by the time it rests, prepare your smoker, according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  13. Now after its heated smoke the meat loaf for about a one and a half hour at somewhere near 200-230 degrees Fahrenheit.
  14. Remove the foil and check it and then smoke it accordingly for about one hour more so it’s cooked to perfection with no over cooking. The thing to note here is that total time will depend on the thickness of the loaf and the temperature the electric smoker incorporates.
  15. Once it is done, remove it and let it rest for while before serving. Now slice them into pieces and serve. Add a mint sauce or some salads to give it more texture.

At the same time, you can always add some vegetables to enhance the dish more. Just add some bell peppers, onions, celery in a pan. Add oil first and when it’s hot, add these vegetables and sauté them for a while. Cook them until they start becoming a little soft. Remove it from the pan and put it on a plate. And then add these vegetables in the mix for making the loaf. You can use any other sauce as you like, may be barbecue sauce too.

Thus although this recipe takes the time to cook the result of it is worth waiting for.
